Google Ships Three New Gemini Models for Agent Workloads
Google released Gemini 3.6 Flash, which uses fewer tokens than 3.5 Flash at the same cost while writing production-ready code without getting stuck in loops; Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, the fastest and most cost-effective 3.5-class model at roughly 350 output tokens per second; and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, a vulnerability-finding model deployed inside CodeMender that caught issues in Chrome and Android standard models missed. Flash Cyber is restricted to governments and trusted partners.
Why It Matters
Shipping three efficiency-tier models at once signals Google is optimizing for high-volume agentic deployment rather than chasing a single frontier benchmark — and gating the security model shows labs still treat offensive-capable AI as dual-use.
