n8n Ships Native MCP Server — Now an Official Anthropic Connector
n8n has announced native MCP server support on its cloud and enterprise tiers, with self-hosted support in development. The integration turns n8n into a bidirectional MCP participant: it can expose n8n workflows as callable tools for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients, and it can use Claude as a tool inside n8n agent nodes. Every published n8n workflow becomes agent-callable surface via Settings → Instance-level MCP toggle. The announcement was made live at the AI Engineer conference.
Why It Matters
n8n is the most widely deployed open-source automation platform; native MCP support means thousands of existing workflows are immediately addressable by any MCP-compatible agent — without any workflow migration or re-wrapping.
